Dr. Alessandro Busca graduated in Medicine from the University of Turin in 1986. He trained in Pediatrics and Hematology at the University of Turin. Between 1991 and 1992, he had postdoctoral training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center of Seattle. Between 1991 and 2000 he was an assistant member at the Department of Pediatric Oncology – University of Turin. As of February 2000, he is an assistant member at the Stem Cell Transplant Unit in Turin. Dr. Busca’s research interests lie in allogeneic stem cell transplantation, GVHD and infectious complications in hematologic patients. Dr. Busca has published more than 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
