Dr Anaïs Hérivaux, Post-Doc Junior Researcher, ICVS, University of Minho, Portugal
Anaïs Hérivaux graduated as a pharmacist from the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Angers University, France, in 2015. During her academic training, she started her fundamental research on molecular biology and bacterial multi-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii strains. Afterwards, she continued with a PhD in “Health & Biological Sciences: Microbiology, Virology, Parasitology”, in France (Angers University). Her doctoral research was focused on fungal molecular biology and Scedosporium apiospermum in the cystic fibrosis context, as well as bioinformatics studies. Since June 2019, she is conducted a post-doc at the ICVS Institute, in Portugal. Her post-doctoral research aims at deciphering the lung host microbiota in the context of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. Her main interests are in fungal infections, host-pathogen interaction, diagnostic tools and therapeutic targets.
